I just acquired a set of Canfield heads and I am trying to find out more details on them. Below the valve cover rail one the intake side they are stamped: Part# 20-450. One has S/N 0297-1598. WebMar 11, 2006 · ported 23 degree heads can flow 305@ .500 lift and 320+ @ .600 with 2.080 valve, 230 cc or so port. That is a 4.155 bore. 280 is the bare minimum for .500 lift and 2.080 valve. If you don't have that something is goofy. 295 @ .500 is an achievable flow number by most head porters. Too bad you couldn't use an LS6 head!

Such a piston would shrould the valves badly, reduce flow and VE, and probably be prone to pinging. you'd be way better off with a 64cc head and a flat top or 1/8" dome piston.
